Corpus Christi International Reading Association
CCIRA is committed to encouraging all teachers and students in the coastal bend area to recognize and appreciate that books, reading, and writing can enhance and enrich the lives of all members of our community. CCIRA is a membership based learning community supporting literacy professionals through use of resources, volunteerism, advocacy efforts, guest speakers, and professional development activities. CCIRA works closely with Student Reading Council of TAMUCC and area school districts and community organizations to promote networking and build rapport between pre-service teachers and current education professionals.
